paulaChildren in need of love and care...scared with their new surroundings and strangers...hungry...cold...those were the children I met on my first trip to the Isaiah Center.

Children being loved...children happy...laughing...freely receiving and giving hugs to the people there to love and care for them...children eating good, healthy meals...children being bathed, dressed in clean, warm clothing...children playing together...more laughing...more smiles...more hugs...children praying together and for each other...happy, loved children...those were the children I met on my most recent visit to the Isaiah Center!
When Rachel Ross announced that she was founding her own ministry in Romania and opening a childcare center in the gypsy village of Tinca, I knew that she was committed to changing the lives of the gypsy children in her care. I had no idea just 'how' committed she was! I, along with many others, prayed for God to be with her, walk with her, guide and protect her...He has done all that...and more.

stephFour years ago I could never imagine God calling me on a mission's trip to work alongside Rachel Ross founder of Forget Me Not Ministries for her love and compassion for the Roma (gypsy) people.  But let me just say I have been truly humbled and blessed by following God's call.  Words cannot express how just from that first trip God took me thousands of miles across the ocean to heal my heart as I worked with the children.  I have seen and felt love that I did not experience growing up and so thankful for God opening my heart and eyes as I love on His precious children at the Isaiah Center.  Rachel cares for 11 adorable children at the center (and praying for a larger center to house over 100 children) where they learn about God, are bathed, fed, loved and given the hope for a future.

lois_and_the_girls“I have been blessed to witness the drastic changes in Tinca, Romania firsthand from the time FMN was formed in 2006 with a “God size dream,” to what became a reality in 2007 through the opening of the FMN Isaiah Center.  The difference in the children from the first day at the center until now is like night and day.  They have the love that every child deserves, a refuge from the harshness of the village and bellies filled with nutritious foods.  First and foremost, they now know Jesus, who loves and cares for them, and has brought FMN to protect them and be the voice of these precious children.

ben1“FMN is a remarkable ministry changing a culture by changing a generation. It’s beautiful to see first hand the love and grace injected into the lives of these children and families. As a campus minister desiring to expose my students to life-changing experiences, I am humbled to see Rachel and her team serve with such vision, intensity, intentionality, and authenticity. God is on the move in Tinca, Romania, in the lives of children knowing they are loved, loved, loved!”
