Alex is our special little guy with Down Syndrome. Alex will be 4 years old this fall and has made the most progress since coming to The Isaiah Center. Alex was abandoned at birth by his young mother and left with his grandparents. Although his grandparents love Alex dearly and care for him, they just don’t have the means to properly meet his needs. Alex is extremely delayed in his development (he is almost 4 years old and wears a size 18 months), and when we first got him he could not even sit up. However, God has continued to heal and strengthen our little Alex, and we are thrilled with his progress today! Alex can now not only sit up on his own and reach for the things he desires, but he can also feed himself, crawl, and pull himself up to stand with help. This week Alex has started walking (with help) around the center, and it is a sight that overwhelms us all with joy! Praise be to God!
