This team from Axiom at the University of Illinois came and served along side of us at the Isaiah Center for 2 weeks in May. All of our Romanian staff and Roma parents and helpers were AMAZED at what hard workers this team was! Ben's team of 16 tornadoes were an incredible blessing for us all! The college students raised their own funds, raised money for all of their projects, plus money to go towards the down payment on the house FMN is currently in the process of purchasing for the lodge.
Each day was spent building a wood store room, tearing down our old pig stye and creating a beautiful place of fellowship, pouring cement paths around the back yard for the children, building outhouses for some of our Roma families in the village, preparing land in the village where we will hold our outreaches, organizing donations, dug out trenches in our backyard to repair drainage, built new swing sets for our children, rebuilt an outdoor shower for workers, and repaired and cleaned Abel and Samuel's house in the village (two of our boys at the center who stay in horrific conditions). The team not only worked incredibly hard to accomplish many things during their time, but they also were an encouragement to those around them. We enjoyed worshipping with them each evening and are incredibly grateful for all of their commitment, love, donations, and heart!
